Survey Reports
Report Definition

The Survey reports are based upon responses to an initial program survey instrument that is based upon the four Danielson Domains - Preparation and Planning, Classroom Environment, Instruction, and Professional Responsibilities - and two additional domains including Common Characteristics and Dispositions. The surveys and related reports for the Graduate and Cooperating Teacher surveys are the same except for responses to demographic questions and open-ended responses. These reports on the six domains are based upon ratings of the components comprising the six domains for the “Importance to Career in Education” and “Extent of Preparation,” and a calculation of the gap score between these two ratings. Surveys and reports for the Employers do not include the “Importance to Career” ratings or a gap score. The general components of the reports for the three surveys include: (1) demographic information, (2) components of professional practice, and (3) open responses.

Exhibit Room Locations for Variations of this Report

Uses
  1. Analyze how program graduate, cooperating teachers, and employers view the importance of the components of professional practice to a career in education and how they view how well our students are prepared in the components.

  2. Analyze the respondents ratings for application to program improvement.

  3. Analyze the open responses toward program improvement and identification of emerging trends and issues for our teacher preparation programs.
