Unit Standard by Program by Course Report
Report Definition

The Unit Standard by Program by Course report groups by program area student performance ratings on the one to three Key Assessments from each program course that is mapped to the particular Conceptual Framework Domain. The report includes the following components: (1) program name, (2) semester and year of the report, (3) unit standard or Conceptual Framework Domain addressed by the report, (4) listing of the program courses that are mapped to the particular domain, (5) the total number of students registered for the course in the particular semester, (6) frequency table that shows number of students rated in a particular rating category and the percentage that number is of the total number of ratings, (7) the number and percentage of students rated at or above Acceptable, and (8) the mean rating score for students on a particular Key Assessment calculated using the scale 0 = None, 1 = Unacceptable, 2 = Acceptable, 3 = Target. At the bottom of the report for each program, overall totals are displayed showing: (1) the frequency distribution of student ratings in the four rating categories across all Key Assessments in all program courses mapped to the particular Conceptual Framework Domain, and (2) the overall mean rating score achieved by students on all Key Assessments from program courses mapped to the particular Conceptual Framework Domain.

Exhibit Room Locations for Variations of this Report
  1. Performance Reports. Danielson Framework – the report is repeated for each of the four Danielson Domains: (1) Planning and Preparation, (2) Classroom Environment, (3) Instruction, and (4) Professional Responsibilities. Each of the four instances of the report is generated from student performance on Key Assessments in program courses mapped to the particular domain.

  2. Performance Reports. Graduate Framework - the report is repeated for each of the three Graduate Framework Domains: (1) Practice, (2) Reflection, and (3) Scholarship. Each of the three instances of the report is generated from student performance on Key Assessments in program courses mapped to the particular domain.

  3. Program (Initial). Program specific data table and related chart are provided for each of the four Danielson (Initial Program Conceptual Framework) Domains from the Key Assessments Reports link on the program specific page. The data table and chart only include ratings from Key Assessments in courses that are mapped to a program's standards that in turn are mapped to the particular Danielson Domains. There is also a chart that displays the mean rating achieved by students within the program for all four of the Domains.

  4. Program (Advanced). Program specific data table and related chart are provided for each of the three Graduate Framework Domains from the Key Assessments Reports link on the program specific page. The data table and chart only include ratings from Key Assessments in courses that are mapped to a program's standards that in turn are mapped to the particular Graduate Conceptual Framework Domains. There is also a chart that displays the mean rating achieved by students within the program for all three of the Domains.

Uses
  1. Analyze balance of program courses and Key Assessments in relation to coverage of Unit Standards.

  2. Analyze student performance on course Key Assessments mapped to a particular Conceptual Framework standard.

  3. Analyze aggregate student performance (frequency of rating category, mean rating score) on Key Assessments across all program courses mapped to a particular Conceptual Framework standard.

  4. Analyze aggregate student performance on all key assessments mapped across all programs and all courses offered during a particular semester.

  5. Identify Conceptual Framework standards for which mean rating is negatively affected by the number of “None” ratings.
